September for us was great... it was the first month that we could enjoy without Madelyn having to go to class and study in over a year! So, we took full advantage of it... we went to movies, watched TV, started playing tennis, and enjoyed the nice weather after the brutal summer.
We're always busy updating the house, and this month with the help of Madelyn's dad we were able to get some landscape lighting and some new numbers for the house. It really makes all the difference! Landscaping/exterior work is so much fun because it's inexpensive and you get a big bang for your buck.
Here is the landscape lighting:

Our house from a different angle... and you can see the new numbers.

Just a general new house picture since we haven't put one up in a while.

Madelyn and I were invited to a Michael Jackson/Madonna party... where, you guessed it, people dressed up like either pop star and there was music from both blasting. They also played the Youtube video's so we could all learn the moves. We had a good time and were able to throw costumes together with stuff we already had in the house... including the sequined glove.

Another year... another
Wilco concert. This one was the weirdest one I've been to since it was in an arena instead of the normal theater setting I'm used to. Luckily (serious luck) we had amazing seats, and it was nice to have an actual seat this time instead of just general admission standing room only.

Here's another one of our "concert" pictures... can't you tell we're at Wilco?! We need to get better at identifying where we are... we should have held up our tickets or something!

September was also the night of
Phoenix, there was a big rumor they were going to play this tiny venue, so we got there early, waited for hours... only to find out the band was not going to be playing but
DJing instead. So, we sat around for
nothin'! Oh well, we still have fun with some of Madelyn's friends from work... although, we stayed out way past our bedtime.
Here is Madelyn, big smile on her face, waiting to see Phoenix. There was no smile at the end of the night... major bummer.

They stamped frowny faces on everyones hands at the door... maybe this was a sign! Madelyn and her co-worker, Kelly, did there best interpretation of the stamp.

And of course... what's a blog without pictures of our dogs? They got baths and we hung out with them in the front yard while they dried off.
This is what we refer to as a "Sugar Hug", she might not be as good of a dog as Rocky but she sure is just as sweet... she loves hugs.

Madelyn getting her snuggle time with the dogs.

My new wallpaper at work! I love this picture!

And of course Rocky gets his lick in... anyone who's met Rocky has gotten a lick!
Last weekend we went to this party where they had this wall set up and a
photographer. This is a really amazing idea.
